Please join your neighbors in enjoying the creativity and holiday spirit at our 8th annual Forest Glen Holiday Stroll.
We will have various stations set up around the Glen. You'll recognize the host stations by the firepit and holiday sounds. Enjoy a drink, a snack, good conversation and the warmth of a fire. Santa will be stopping by too.

Parade Details: 70 years is a major achievement and the Forest Glen Independence Day parade is one of the longest running parades in Chicago. In honor of it's platinum anniversary, get out your red, white and blue and let’s bring the neighborhood together to celebrate one of our favorite days in Forest Glen! 𝗪𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝘁 𝟵:𝟯𝟬 𝗔𝗠 𝗼𝗻 𝗕𝗲𝗿𝘄𝘆𝗻 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗟𝗮𝗺𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗟𝗮𝗖𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀𝗲 𝗔𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘂𝗲. The parade will end at Paderewski Academy of Music for a flag raising ceremony, parade winners and refreshments (while supplies last).

Parking/Street Closures If you are planning to be out of town for the holiday weekend and on the parade route, please make sure your car is moved before Thursday morning. To ensure safety and an enjoyable experience for everyone, please be mindful of No Parking signs and street closures.

Green Thumb Ribbons are given based on lawn, trees, flowers, plants and overall curb appeal. Ribbons are distributed all weekend long.

Attending CAPS beat meetings provide a regular opportunity for police officers, residents, and other community stakeholders to exchange information, identify and prioritize problems, and begin developing solutions to those problems.
With all the kids out and about, we worry about traffic and other things. So we have a group of people that sit at the corner and look out for your safety. Stop by for a donut and say boo until supplies last!
IT’S GONNA GET SPOOKY IN THE GLEN!!!
13 Volunteers (or 13 teams) are needed to distribute Orange FGCC Halloween ribbons anytime Thursday October 26 through Sunday October 29. No previous experience needed. The task takes approximately an hour. You would be handing out ribbons to houses with seasonal Halloween décor on a specific assigned route.
Route maps, instructions and ribbons will be delivered to you before October 26 for you to pass out, at your convenience, across those 4 days.

Announcing the sixth Forest Glen Garden Walk on Saturday, July 22. Enjoy exclusive one-day access to the gardens of this naturally verdant Chicago neighborhood tucked between two Cook County Forest Preserves. Residents cultivate their yards with great pride and creativity, and the Forest Glen Garden Committee maintains three public gardens in the neighborhood. Rain gardens, koi ponds, impressive hardscapes and unique plant specimens abound in this extremely walkable and charming neighborhood. Purchase tickets here

Forest Glen Community Club invites you to the rededication and celebration of the After Vivaldi mural improvements. We will be gathering at the south end of Elston Avenue by the Forest Glen Metra station. Light refreshments will be served.

This year’s theme is BORN IN THE USA. Wear your stars and stripes and wave the American flag high and proud. 𝗪𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝘁 𝟵:𝟯𝟬 𝗔𝗠 𝗼𝗻 𝗕𝗲𝗿𝘄𝘆𝗻 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗟𝗮𝗺𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗟𝗮𝗖𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀𝗲 𝗔𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘂𝗲. The parade will end at Paderewski Academy of Music for a flag raising ceremony, parade winners and light refreshments. Kona Ice will be selling shaved ice starting at 10:30. Treats range from $4 - $8.
